Sometimes we do things and we don't really understand why... or others struggle to understand our intentions. If you haven't already done personality testing, it can be a really useful tool to helping you work out what motivates you and energises you in life! Are you an introvert who needs some space? Are you someone who loves to tackle a complicated challenge? Do you love to play, or do the trivialities of life irritate you? Do you thrive on your environment constantly changing? All these things are part of what makes up our personality.

This is by no means a comprehensive test, but just a simple little tool that can help you get started.

About the Author

Angela Colson is a registered psychologist with tertiary qualifications in counselling, along with a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons.). Her recent research explores the barriers to using psychological services for Australians experiencing chronic pain, which was awarded the National Psychology Prize by the Australian Psychological Society.

She was awarded dux in her undergraduate program, and has received a continuing scholarship, in addition to first place in both the people's choice and best student research at the 2020 ACAP Conference.

Angela previously founded The Burma Project, focussing on delivery of sustainable community development projects and education in Myanmar.

Angela has a passion for using evidence based practice to help people understand themselves better in order to lead their most fulfilling life possible. She runs a private practice in the Sutherland Shire, and currently offers telehealth services across the country.

Her areas of interest are grief & loss, trauma, PTSD, men's mental health, anxiety and core values/goal setting and management of ADHD symptoms in adults.

Her therapeutic modalities include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Committment Therapy, and Schema Therapy.
